Have you ever had that feeling of being trapped? So trapped that you’re about to give up all hope?
The other night I had a dream. In the dream I found myself trapped in a parking garage (how someone can be trapped in a parking garage is well beyond me). However, I wasn’t alone. There was someone else driving their car up and down the levels of the garage. I was fairly sure that they had noticed me for we had briefly made eye contact. I vaguely remember the face. Though I can’t match an exact name with the face, I remember it being someone from my high school graduating class of ‘04 of New Fairfield, CT. It was someone that I admired and respected.
So there I was, watching this guy or girl racing around the four story parking garage. There were no other cars around, just me, this crazy driver, a lot of open space, and for some reason, no viable way out. He or she stops their car approximately fifty feet away from me, facing me. They then turn the engine off.
Suddenly, I hear the person’s voice, but it’s coming from behind me. Instinctively I turn around to find that there isn’t anyone there. However, as I turn back around to face the car, I find that the vehicle is accelerating towards me. I have no time to react; it directly hits me. Yet as my body contorts, in the most awkward of ways, I can see that there is no one driving the car.
I find myself on the ground bleeding profusely.
As my body begins to shut down, I can see that person from high school standing where his or her car was originally turned off, staring at me.
I wake.
