I listen to a lot of the British string quartet Bond. I’m a huge sucker for string instruments and I really enjoy their pop-ish covers of classical music. Many people don’t really like Bond because of the fact that they do mostly covers, however I suppose I see through that because I was raised on classical music . The group is made up of four young ladies, who were chosen not only for their talent on string instruments, but also for their looks (typical).

Furthermore, I recently found another group called Escala, who are pretty much identical to Bond… Four women, all playing string instruments, from Britain, covering classical music… I guess I hoped that Bond would stay unique for at least a little while longer. Escala emerged onto the scene this year via the Britain’s Got Talent television show. Furthermore, on the show they played a piece that Bond already has on one of their albums! They’re running out of ways to be identical to each other…

Here is a video of Bond. Here is a video of Escala. See the resemblance?

Oh well, I guess it’s simply how the world works. If someone finds a unique way of making it big, others are bound to follow.
