My friends and I just saw District 9 tonight. I really liked it.

It’s a very dark movie, featuring a lot of violence and suspense, yet still encompassed by a solid story of friendship and love. Directed by Peter Jackson, I knew the presentation of it would be well done, even if the story was mediocre. Luckily, I really enjoyed the story.

Many people didn’t like the ending since it kind of left the viewer wondering “what happens next”. But I think the story up until the end gave enough implication as to how the story unfolds. I love stories that leave you to imagine the conclusion. Anyways, District 9 is a definite buy when it comes out on DVD.
