Final Fantasy VI, for the win.
For Miss Nancy Situ.
Lately I’ve been doing a bit of running. Coincidently, a co-worker and I were talking about running the other day and she mentioned that she was thinking of running a half marathon in October. Intrigued, I have decided that I will also start training for a half marathon.
I’ve never ran more than six miles in one run so, this should be a decent challenge for me. I’m really not going for any specific time, I’d just like to say I finished a half marathon. And hey, it might even lead me to training for the even more daunting challenge of a full marathon.
We’ll see…
So I just got back from a few vacations. I took a trip down to Jamaica with some friends from Canada and then a quick weekend trip to Montreal with some co-workers.
What I learned in Jamaica:
- Jamaican tours/events are way over-priced.
- Jamaica is way too humid of a place to live.
- ATMs charge you $7.00 convenience fees.
- Stay away from the “green green grass of home”
- Jamaican rum is delicious.
- I’m in love with a girl with white hair.
- Archery is difficult to learn, but fun to do.
- Sunken ships in the ocean look neat.
- There isn’t very good surf in Monetgo Bay.
- There is a crazy lagoon that illuminates when you swim in it.
- I’m never going to drink Red Stripe again.
- One of the largest resorts in the world is being built in Jamaica.
What I learned in Montreal:
- Canadian beer is pretty good.
- Public bicycles have a HUGE security deposit…
- God, Mozart, and cheating are good topics to talk about at dinner.
- People smoke way too much.
- I should learn French.
- Noise complaints are no fun.
- Reading a book after a hangover helps.
- Montreal seems to have a large gay population.
- Canadian money looks cooler than American money.
- I should stop eating red meat.
And now, back to the the ol’ routine of things.
