It’s uploaded and I love it! Here’s my cover with Enrique Saldivar of “I Will Be With You” off of Sarah Brightman’s Symphony album.
Haha, found this article of a guy who tried to actually smuggle 14 snakes and 10 lizards on a plane as he went through Norwegian customs.
Priceless in such an epic way.
Earlier tonight “The Hills Have Eyes” was on television. Naturally, it was hit by a good amount of editing/censoring due to all the gore and suggestive themes throughout the movie, but was still enjoyable (for those who like the horror/gore genre).
I do have one question though. What the hell happened to the characters at the end of the movie? For those of you who have seen the movie, you know that there was a gas station about eight miles down the road, however beyond that there was nothing for many miles… Not to mention that the pay phone at the station didn’t work, and the character’s cell phone also couldn’t get a signal.
I would really like to know what they planned on doing next.
I randomly came across this video of a group of cousins performing the ending theme from Super Mario World. I really like how they incorporated such a variety of instruments for the cover; it really brings out the light-hearted, almost jazzy mood of the composition.
Additionally, the violinist has his own personal YouTube channel that is filled with some great piano covers and improvisations. Check him out.
Sorry for the lack of posts (to my… three or four readers).
However, exciting news. My friend Enrique from YouTube and I recorded a duet video together! It’s not uploaded yet, but it will be soon. The song is “I Will Be With You” by Sarah Brightman. Enrique truly has a spectacular performance voice. I’ve listened to the audio for the video and it’s amazing like usual. I am very excited! You can find Enrique’s YouTube channel here. My personal channel can be found here.
I’ll post it to the blog when it’s up.
Again, I’m up way too late. So I turned on my television and flipped through to channels. I stopped for a moment on MTV where there was a show called Silent Library. The show itself is pretty meh. It’s just one of those shows where contestants do stupid/embarrassing tasks in hopes of winning money.
One question I have pertains to the host of the show. It’s some Asian guy who looks like he’s eternally angry at the world. All he does is count cash on his table and unhappily declare whether the contestants passed or failed after each round. According to the wiki, the game show was based on a Japanese show. I just feel that the Asian guy is so out of place for the show…
Today I cleaned out my closet and found twenty dollars! Other interesting discoveries included:
- Three pairs of shoes I never knew I had
- A broken piece of glass from who knows what
- A tack which I almost stepped on
- Old sports trophies
- My two year-old bag of goodies from the SXSW interactive conference
- A bottle opener that sucks at opening bottles
- My old high school lacrosse stick
- Two tacky belts
- A laptop that looks like it’s from 1995
- And a bag of unopened Skittles!
I just saw a commercial for one of the most degrading websites ever. Apparently, there’s a website called Establishedmen.com where people can go to find “love”.
Now let me summarize what the people on the commercial were saying about the site. The site supposedly has a ratio of one male for every four females. Whether every man on the site is “established” was vaguely explained by the owner. Basically, what they stated is (and I’m honestly hardly skewing their words) “This site is a great way for young women to find rich guys to date.”
I have nothing against women who seek a partner who is financially stable and motivated, but seriously, what the hell… Establishedmen.com is simply feeding the stereotypical mold of a “gold digger”.
/wtf off
An amazing cover of a song from the Shrek musical from some people I really admire on YouTube. They all have such outstanding voices!
To me, these are the people who should have record deals, unlike some of the bands that are making it big these days; bands who have a recording studio to cover up their mediocre voices.
I’m visiting a few friends who recently moved up here for school. After getting the grand tour of their most excellent apartment (and after getting a good night’s sleep after staying up late and drinking), my friend Max took me down Newbury Street.
Now we’re not exactly sure what we’re going to do, probably consume some alcohol. Leaving sometime tomorrow.
