The date has been changed. April 3rd, 2009 is the new release. It will be the day that my life is entirely fulfilled. See here.
I recently received a email on Facebook titled “thirsty thursdays!!” pertaining to some party at a nearby college. It read:
ITS GUNNA BE CRAZY THURSDAY NIGHT!!
MAKE SURE TO BE THERE BEFORE 10:30 TO GET IN FOR $1 AND TELL EVERYONE ABOUT IT!!
MTV WILL BE THERE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE FOR A NEW REALITY SHOW. DRESS TO IMPRESS AND MAKE SURE YOUR READY TO ROCK!!
Besides the unnecessary use of the caps lock key and exclamation points, if you read this and thought nothing of it, then congratulations; you are not a grammar stickler. I am.
- “Its” should be “It’s” (not possessive, contraction for “It is”)
- I can’t stand most of internet slang. “gunna” and “gonna” simply makes me cringe.
- “your” should be “you’re” (contraction for “you are”)
If you’re going to send out a mass email, promoting an event, have the decency to proofread it. It doesn’t take long.
Everyone liked Debra Hawkings.
All the boys at our small college were obsessed with her. The girls envied to be like her, imitating herĀ unique style of apparel. Furthermore, her professors kept her in and equally high regard; she was a truly a brilliant person.
It’s funny how perceptions can change so quickly.
In her heart, Debra was a honest and loving individual… but not many people could see that anymore once she revealed her true manhood.
This emo guy, this band, and this site are going to be the end of my little brother. He’s too god damn obsessed with each one of them.
I was thinking to myself the other day, and frankly, I was about to think out loud at the dinner table (but I didn’t think my family would get the comedy in it)… You know what would be an awesome job? Voice-acting the Pokemon characters. Their entire job is simply to articulate the same name(s) in various ways. That’s about it. I mean, you have your angry Pikachu, your sad Pikachu, your happy Pikachu, your confused Pikachu; the list of emotions go on.
Can you imagine being in the studio that they record the voices in? It must be hilarious to listen to and watch.
The dulling of your voice is the essence of peacefulness.
When all the levels of nature are at ease, free spirits are at play.
When silence is an art, listening only to my own constant breaths.
Profligacy at last. There is work to be done.
Homework is killing me right now. This term is sucking the life out of me. Not only do I have a fifteen page term paper due in the next few weeks, but in another class I have multiple assignments that entail revising and constructing memos, letters, and emails (though I do find editing kind of fun).
One more term after this… one more term.
